What a Picnic!
The Way Out Wineries extend our thanks to all of the many patrons who hit the road on the Fourth of July weekend to visit our boutique wineries! We hope that we made this trip as memorable for you as it was for us and we look forward to seeing you all again!
If you missed this trip, don't worry! The calendar has several more events on tap for 2008, so you'll have a chance to enjoy our great wines and see this marvellous part of Texas. Watch this space for details of the Tailgate event.
The Abilene Reporter News featured one of our wineries and the Way Out Wineries in a great article Sunday, 6/29/2008. Click HERE to read the story.
What's a Road Trip?
Our Road Trips are three day events that give patrons the opportunity to get "on the road" and visit each of the eight picturesque winery locations in a self-directed tour that will take them through the true heart of Texas. Our map page is set up to help you plan your route, and you'll want to visit each winery where you'll find unique wine and food pairings, wonderful wines, special gifts, entertainment and true Texas hospitality. Every Road Trip is unique, just like our wineries!
Who are we, anyway?
The Way Out Wineries is a group of boutique wineries in an area of the state you can generally describe as the "middle", from the north part of the Texas Hill Country to just south of the metroplex.
Rolling hills, wide horizons, big skies and picturesque towns are part of what our "corner" of the state has to offer - tailor made for weekend road trips! So, we decided to get together and host some special events to make these road trips memorable.
Road Trip Winery Hours
Road Trip Hours at the wineries: Friday 12 - 6, Saturday: 10 - 6, Sunday: 12 - 5.
Where are we, anyway?
We've created a special page (see the link at the top of the page) that has a map and list of our wineries. This map includes the Google Maps directions service, so you can plan your route!
