Party with the Way Out Wineries on the Mardi Gras Road Trip.
Let the good times roll at this annual celebration! Drive through still-sleeping vineyards to visit cozy wineries who are ready to party down before the grapes start waking up and the hard work begins. Cajun food and WOW wines make this the party of the season. With your road trip ticket, each winery provides a complimentary wine tasting along with a Cajun or New Orleans style dish to pair with a selected wine.
At your first stop, you will collect a logo tasting glass that you will use as you visit the remainder of the nine wineries. At every tasting location, you have the opportunity to draw for doubloons that are good for $1, $2, or $3 off your purchase at that stop. Not to mention, there will be beads galore!!
Tickets are $35 per person and include wine tastings, food samples, beads and doubloons at every stop as well as your WOW tasting glass!
Hours will be the same for all wineries during February 21-23, 2020: Friday 12-6pm; Saturday 10am-6pm; Sunday 12-5pm.
AND to extend the fun, all WOW wineries will honor Mardi Gras Road Trip tickets from February 24 through March 1 during their normal operating hours to receive wine tastings, beads and discount doubloons (no food will be included).
New to this road trip? To make your trip even more fun, you can draw for doubloons and discounts on your purchases at each winery. Green doubloons are worth $1, purple doubloons are worth $2 and gold doubloons are worth $3 and will be given out during the entirety of the Road Trip.* These can be turned back in at the winery stop for discounts on your purchase there.
Costumes? You bet! Dress up to make the Road Trip more fun! We will also be holding a social media contest for special Mardi Gras prizes.
*Note: Doubloons can only be spent at the same winery where you received them.

During the opening weekend, February 12-14, our Way Out Wineries will be decked out in purple, green, and gold with zydeco music playing in the background. At each winery, you'll receive wine tastings and a sample of Cajun or New Orleans style dish.

Is transportation provided?
No, this is a self-guided road trip. We always encourage you to be safe and designate a driver. There are also businesses that can be contracted to drive a group of people through the tour.
What order do I visit the wineries?
Whichever way you want (EXCEPT we ask that you start at the one indicated when you purchased your ticket)! We realize that everyone road trips from different parts of Texas to visit us, so setting a route would be no fun. We will provide you the list of the wineries and you can visit in any order that you like, on any day that you like!
How long does it take to complete the road trip?
There are 8 wineries and 213 miles in between them. We don't want it to be a secret that you will literally be taking a road trip as you travel in between them. Our wineries are a little off the beaten path (hence the name Way Out Wineries) so we encourage you to take time and enjoy the journey!
Why should I come on the first weekend?
We kick off the road trip in style!! Our first weekend will have extended hours for all wineries. The first weekend is also where our wineries show off their culinary skills. At each winery, you will receive a small bite of food which will complete the road trip theme.
